Monferrato, Piedmont region in the province of Alessandria, is a place rich in tourism. The term should come from the union of Monte and spelled and its area is divided into three zones: Basso Monferrato, Asti and Monferrato Alto Monferrato. The first is a typically hilly area of nearly 400 feet high, and the Monferrato Asti, cha embraces the province of Asti, contains several villages, Nizza Monferrato, Cortanze, Cocconato, Montiglio. Finally, the Alto Monferrato, which extends to the foot of the Ligurian Apennines.
A land rich in tourism, Monferrato every second Sunday of the month opens the doors of churches and monuments. The region is also famous for the important production of wines of Monferrato. It’s a nice place to visit durin a tour in vintage car.
